In July I read, Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill
This book was written in 1937 by Napoleon Hill. He studied and interviewed many of the “successful” people during that era. The Carnegies, Henry Ford, and others were some of the people that were interviewed.
I think it was a good book in the way that it explored how powerful the mind was into making “dreams” a reality. Hill talked a lot about how being focused on goals and not letting “setbacks” get you down or to keep you from persisting. It is from that persisting that your financial goals will be realized. Of course it isn’t good enough to just dream about money… you have to put the rubber to the road and make something happen.
The book is obviously outdated (but I think there are more current versions on Amazon). I don’t think it is very well written, but that could be just me. To be honest, it was a good one time read book, but I honestly don’t think I will be revisiting it frequently- or as a “reminder”. The examples were too lengthy for my liking, but I liked the overall concept of the book.
However, the book is inspirational and made me really start thinking about what keeps me from making money!!!!
