All Good Things Come to Those Who….

We’ve all heard the saying “all good things come to those who wait.”  It’s essentially a saying that is about being patient.  If you wait long enough something good will happen right?  At least that’s always what I’ve thought it meant.

Although, as most adults know, just sitting on your duff and doing nothing isn’t going to get you anywhere…

However, when it comes to buying something, the best thing to do is wait.  Many times waiting means you are shopping around and you’ll find what you want at a lower price.  Waiting can also mean that perhaps you weigh whether or not you really want or need the item of purchase.    Waiting can also mean, that you simply wait, and someone either ends up giving you that item or you find it “free” on Craigslist.

Either way, if you take a minute and wait before buying something, it’s typically a better financial decision.

  1. it’s so true I’ve been wanting a puppy for the longest time and (about 2 years) and every time I look at one the price was super high or there wasn’t one available in the preferred color/sex and the finally last week I found the one- perfect color right sex and cheaper price (by only 200$) though the puppy unnecessary it was the deal ive been waiting for can’t wait to bring the little guy home! 🙂 please visit and leave a comment on my blog! 🙂

  2. Probabaly just waiting until you can actually afford to pay cash for something would help a lot of people. Buy it on a credit card or buy it on payments and you’ll pay a lot more for something than the sticker price. That will mean you’ll not have the cash for the next thing that comes along because you’re spending half of your income for payments.

Electronics are also a great thing to wait on. If you wait for six months to a year, you can buy new for half price or buy used for maybe one quarter of the price or less. Of course, once you figure this out, you’ll never want to buy any gadgets ever again since you know they’ll be worth half of what you paid in a year.

  3. Yes, I totally agree, waiting to have cash is a must!

Gadgets are so difficult to buy. I agree though as long as you don’t have to have the latest one, wait! I’m not a gadget person so I don’t even think about them. 🙂 Thanks!
